We Need a Federal One Strike Law against Child Predators Now!

As indicated in his latest book, “Facing Down Evil”, former FBI Agent Dr. Clint Van Zandt was taken by a child predator, when he was just seven years old. Thankfully, he managed to escape his kidnapper, yet thousands of other children have not been as fortunate.

As an FBI Agent, Dr. Van Zandt participated in thousands of investigations concerning child kidnappings and child predators. The facts are the average child molester will offend 50 times against girls and 150 times against boys before he is brought to the attention of law enforcement. One particular child molester in California actually kept careful records of over 36,000 individual acts of child molestation he committed before he was finally incarcerated for life.

Dr. Van Zandt is currently in discussions with state and federal lawmakers, media sources, and national organizations in an attempt to rally support for a national one strike law for child and other sexual predators.

We are not advocating that an 18-year-old boy who has consensual physical contact with his 16-year-old girlfriend be put away for life. What we are saying, is that any violent sexual offender who commits a criminal act against a child, should not get a second, a 150th, or a 36,000th chance to re-offend.

We hold that there should be a national One Strike Law that provides a mandatory life sentence (without parole) for such offenders. Today there are 686,000 registered sex offenders loose on the streets of America.
